소수성 원사란 공정수분율이 0.05% 이하인 섬유로서 폴리에틸렌과 같은 폴리올레핀 섬유가 이에 해당된다. 또는 폴리에스테르, 폴리아미드 원사를 제조시 발수 성분인 실리콘계, 불소계 수지를 마스터베치로 만든 후 용융 방사하는 방법으로도 소수성원사를 제조할 수 있다.상기 방법은 종래의 제조방법을 통하여 제조할 수 있는 것으로서, 구체적으로는 대한민국 공개특허 제1997-43409호에 개시된 바와 같이 용융흐름지수가 50 내지 1000g/10분인 에틸렌/클로로트리플루오르에틸렌 중합체 단독 또는 이종의 중합체와 함께 방사하는 방식으로 제조될 수 있다. 또한 대한민국 특허발명 제125103호에 개시된 것과 같이 2성분 복합섬유 집합체를 불소계 또는 실리콘계 발수제가 폴리우레탄 조성에 대한 0.5 내지 5중량% 이상 포함되고 물이 폴리우레탄 조성액에 대하여 0.5 내지 10중량% 포함된 폴리우레탄 조성액을 이용하여 복합섬유를 제조하는 방식으로 상기 발수특성을 구비한 원사를 제조될 수 있다.Hydrophobic yarns are fibers having a process water content of 0.05% or less, which corresponds to polyolefin fibers such as polyethylene.
