Abstract

PURPOSE: A backlight assembly of an LCD device is provided to contact a lower side of the second sidewall with a back cover, and to form a predetermined space portion between a lower side of the first sidewall and the back cover, thereby emitting a portion of heat transmitted to a mold frame. CONSTITUTION: A lamp assembly(20) is used as a light source of an LCD module. A reflecting plate(50) reflects light under a light guide plate(40). A mold frame(10) covers edges of the light guide plate(40) and the lamp assembly(20). A back cover(30) is fixed to a lower side to be opposed to the mold frame(10) and the light guide plate(40). A sheet diffuses and condenses light on an upper side of the light guide plate(40). An LCD panel(70) is installed on an upper side of the sheet to display information. A top chassis(80) is overlapped with edges of an upper side of the LCD panel(70), and wherein one side thereof is fixed to the mold frame(10) to support the LCD panel(70).
