Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for scheduling a work on a discontinuous manufacturing process is provided to optimize work allocation on the discontinuous manufacturing process by selectively using a mathematical model and a heuristic model depending on a characteristic of the work. CONSTITUTION: The work globally optimizing that a target work is allotted to which machine by using the mathematical model is allotted. An order of the works allotted to the machine at a previous step is decided by using the heuristic model. The work not scheduled is processed again by the previous steps after changing constraint. A candidate schedule for the non-scheduled works is generated.
