Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for automatically compensating display color and a recording medium having a program are provided to automatically compensate color while automatically setting up the optimum brightness and contrast of a display by using an ICC profile. CONSTITUTION: It is searched whether a user computer has automatic compensation recording related to display color(S30). If not, specification of a display adaptor is automatically searched(S40). Specification of a display is automatically searched(S42). If so, a menu for selecting automatic compensation is displayed(S44,S46). The corresponding ICC(International Color Consortium) profile and the optimum brightness value and the optimum contrast value are searched(S48). A display compensation value is calculated(S50). The optimum brightness value, the optimum contrast value, and the display compensation value are applied to the display(S52,S54). The result of the compensation is stored(S60).
