Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for linking dynamic contents using a user data field of digital broadcasting stream is provided to easily receive detailed information of a specific item from a contents provider server connected through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A tuner and a demultiplexer tunably receive digital broadcasting stream, and an MPEG decoder decodes audio and video data of the digital broadcasting stream into the original audio and video(S10). Additional service information included in a user data field of a picture header is searched for and stored(S11). An OSD(On Screen Demand) generator dividedly displays a specific item to be selected by a user(S12). The user selects the specific item(S13). Position information of the selected item is confirmed and URL(Uniform Resource Locator) information connected with the position information is read, so a modem executes Internet connection(S14). Various detained information are displayed through a picture of a television(S15). It is judged whether the user requests to release the Internet connection(S16). It is judged whether the user requests to terminate a system(S17). The Internet connection is released and the system is turned off(S18).
