Abstract

PURPOSE: A stapling device having an independent stapling function in a paper post-processor is provided to automatically staple papers by moving a stapler installed inside a duplicator or printer. CONSTITUTION: A stapling device having an independent stapling function includes a lower frame(202) set at a paper discharging unit of the main body of a paper post-processor of a duplicator or printer, a stapler that is placed on the lower frame and moves on the lower frame to staple a predetermined portion of paper, the first support set between the lower frame and the stapler to support the staple such that the stapler reciprocates, and a stapler driving motor(203) for providing a force for reciprocation of the stapler. The device further includes a means for transmitting rotary power of the stapler driving motor to reciprocate the stapler, and a side frame(266) placed at one side of the lower frame. The side frame has a slit having a predetermined length and a predetermined inner space in which the stapler is placed. Paper is inserted into the slit from the outside.
