Abstract

PURPOSE: A traffic indication system using DARC(DAta Radio Channel) and GPS(Global Positioning System) is provided to supply the real-time information by using additional FM broadcasting and guide the bus station information by using a GPS receiver. CONSTITUTION: Additional information including data about news, time, weather, and stock is loaded into FM radio broadcasting signals(200). The additional information and audio signals are separated from the FM radio broadcasting signals(210). An FM part initializes modules such as a broadcasting reception block, a GPS reception block, and an universal serial bus block(110). The information is read from a memory card block(120). GPS position data are received(300). The information is classified on the basis of a program log(130). The related data are displayed on an electronic display board if the additional FM broadcasting output(140-1). An user text and graphic data are outputted on the basis of the program log(140-2). An effective bus station is searched by comparing the present position to bus station data(150,160).
