Abstract
PURPOSE: A construction method of a multi-span continuous preplex girder bridge is provided to construct the continuous composite girder bridge stably and firmly by prestressed concrete with assembling a steel I-shaped girder, steel concrete and prestressed strands properly. CONSTITUTION: A preplex beam is manufactured respectively by combining a steel I-shaped girder(2) with lower flange concrete(3), and installed on a pier. Two beams are arranged close to each other horizontally on the pier, and combined continuously by assembling an upper flange(2a) and a web(2b) of the steel I-shaped girder and an upper joint and a web joint with bolting or welding. Plural prestressed strands are arranged into lower flange concrete and slab concrete and crossed successively along each span. Prestressed strands are strained and installed in a mounting unit after curing slab concrete and web concrete.
