Abstract

PURPOSE: Provided are a method and an apparatus for remediation/purification of contaminated soil and polluted ground water with using ozone injection wells. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of generating ozone to be injected into a first well; cooling the ozone to a temperature of -5 to 5 °C; injecting the cold ozone into the first well; and feeding hydrogen peroxide solution and ferrous sulfate into a second well separated from the first well. The apparatus comprises an ozone tank(140) for storing ozone generated by an ozone generator(120), a vaporizer(160) for reducing a pressure of the tank(140) by exhausting air in the tank(140) before the ozone is introduced, an air compressor(170) for compressing air, a freezer(150) for freezing the compressed air and supplying the cold air to the tank(140), pipes serving as passages of ozone and air and connecting the ozone tank(140), the ozone generator(120), the vaporizer(160), the air compressor(170) and the freezer(150) to each other.
