Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for assigning mobile communication call processing resources is provided to efficiently use resources of an RNC(Radio Network Controller) and improve the quality of a mobile communication service by providing queuing, priority, and preemption functions when receiving a resource assignment request. CONSTITUTION: When receiving a resource assignment request from an adjacent RNC(100) or a CN(Core Network)(500), an RNC(100') judges whether an association resource exists at an RNC overload reference value or less. If the association resource exists, the RNC(100') assigns the association resource, admits that a preemption is performed, and stores association information in a preemption table(140'). The RNC(100') transmits an assignment completion message to the adjacent RNC(100) or the CN(500). If the association resource does not exist, the RNC(100') drives a timer to waits for the generation of an idle resource and stores a resource assignment request message in a standby buffer(130'). The RNC(100') transmits that the resource assignment request is stood by to the adjacent RNC(100) or the CN(500).
