PURPOSE: A heater for a rear passenger's seat of a vehicle is provided to enhance thermal efficiency and heating performance by using the radiant heat and exhaust heat of an engine. CONSTITUTION: A suction pipe(21) is installed around a catalytic converter(12), and is attached to the lower portion of a chassis floor(14). A steel mesh(24) is installed on a front suction port. An exhaust pipe(11) is inserted through the steel mesh. Heat emitting fins are installed outside the catalytic converter. A dehumidifying plate(26) is installed in the suction pipe. Heating ducts are installed behind the suction pipe. Damper doors are installed in the heating ducts. Hot air discharge outlets are formed in respective heating ducts.
