Abstract

PURPOSE: A control method for preventing a driver from driving a vehicle in an excited condition is provided to promote safe driving by detecting the excited state of a driver during driving a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: To promote safe driving, a driver turns on a safe driving switch. Then, the driver wears a pulse sensing band on a wrist and measures a pulse cycle to detect excited driving of the driver. The measured pulse rate is compared with normal pulse rate of a driver. If the measured pulse rate exceeds the normal degree, an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) generates music or alarm sounds through a speaker. If the pulse rate is raised up in operation of the speaker, the step width of an acceleration pedal is controlled to prevent accelerated driving. Therefore, an accident is prevented as well as the driver's life is and economic damage is reduced by detection of the excited state of driver.
