Abstract

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display system is provided to switch a multiplexer with response to a field detect signal of the first image source to share a signal processor and a driver. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal display system includes the first multiplexer(MUX,320), the signal processor(330), the first and second liquid crystal panel(341,342), a driver, and the second and third multiplexers(362). The first multiplexer receives image signal from the different first and second image sources and outputs one image source with response to the field detect signal from the first image source selectively. The signal processor receives the output image signal from the multiplexer and performs signal processing. The first and second liquid crystal panel display the image signal. The driver outputs a driving signal to the first and second liquid crystal panels based on the processed result of the signal processor. The second and third multiplexers receives a Y start pulse from the driver based on the field detect signal(ID) of the first image source and outputs an operation control signal of the first and second liquid crystal panels. The second and third multiplexers outputs signals which are symmetrical to each other so as to operate only one of the first and second liquid crystal panels.
