Abstract

PURPOSE: A device for delivering audio in a still mode of a VCR(Video Cassette Recorder), is provided to deliver audio stored by being played though a screen is stopped in a still mode, so that audio can be heard even in a still mode. CONSTITUTION: In a play mode, an audio head(1) reads audio signals recorded in a tape. The audio signals, of which noise is removed through an audio circuit(2), are restored to analog audio signals for outputting. The analog audio signals are respectively supplied to an analog/digital converter(3) and a switching unit(7). The switching unit(7) performs switching with a contact point(a), to output the analog audio signals outputted in the audio circuit(2) to external. The analog/digital converter(3) converts inputted analog audio signals into digital audio signals for outputting. The digital audio signals are stored in a memory(4). If a still mode is requested by key input of a user, a microcomputer outputs a mute signal to the audio circuit(2) for muting. The microcomputer controls a controller(6) to deliver audio signals stored in the memory(4). The digital audio signals outputted from the memory(4) are converted into analog audio signals through a digital/analog converter(5) for outputting.
