Abstract

PURPOSE: An apparatus for guiding a preferable program guide using a Korean broadcasting program system is provided to enable a viewer to view a preferable program by using a Korean broadcasting program system. An on-screen display unit(30) displays the video signal on a monitor. A KBPS decoder(40) checks the program which the viewer registered using KBPS information. A microcomputer(50) controls the on-screen display unit(30) in case that the program decoded in the KPBS decoder(40) is started on a channel. The microcomputer(50) displays the program in a part of a screen.
