Abstract

PURPOSE: A mis-connection warning method of an ignition coil is provided to turn off an engine and induce repair when the ignition coil is mis-connected by warning the mis-connection of the ignition coil. CONSTITUTION: Present crankshaft angular position is sensed by a hall sensor and a crank position sensor, and an angular velocity of a crankshaft is compared with ignition sequence. If the crankshaft angular velocity is matched with the ignition sequence and primary current value of an ignition coil is less than 6A, normal connection of the ignition coil is decided. If the crankshaft angular velocity is not matched with the ignition sequence, a warning device is turned on while an engine is turned off. With primary current value of an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) over 6A, the warning device is operated while the engine is turned off. Thereby, damage to the engine due to the mis-connection of an ignition coil is prevented.
