Based on the input trigger signal from the diagnostic switch 11, the ECU 10 sequentially generates a detection pulse for each lamp as a predetermined number of times (for example, three times) and a time interval T to the decoder 12. (12) sequentially supplies this signal to each lamp, and the current sensors (S1, S2) on a common ground line connected to the first lamp array (L1, L2, L3), the second lamp array (, L4, ..., etc.) If the current detection result signal is fed back to the ECU 10, and all the lamps are normal, the LED light emitting element 13 of the diagnostic switch 11 itself can be driven to drive the push button unit 11-1 or a separate lamp. By blinking for a second, the lamp will indicate that nothing is wrong.

More specifically, as shown in the block diagram of FIG. 4, when the diagnosis switch 11 is turned on to start diagnosis 100, the number of diagnosis of the lamp is counted (101) while the current diagnosis sequence of the lamp is the total number of lamps. If less than (N) (No), the lamp diagnosis pulse is issued (102), the current of the ground line is sensed (103), if there is no abnormality (HIGH) of the corresponding lamp, it is repeated 104 as a circulating loop, and all lamps If normal, the LED light emitting body 13 of the diagnostic switch 11 itself is driven to cause the push button part 11-1 to blink for a few seconds (201).

(300)If the diagnosis sequence is less than or equal to the total number of lamps (Yes) and there is an abnormality of each lamp (LOW), the LED button 13 of the diagnosis switch 11 itself is driven to drive the pushbutton 11-1 for several seconds. Continue to emit light (202) and terminate. (300)

Therefore, when the driver confirms the light emission from the light emitting means a few seconds after pressing the diagnostic switch 11, the driver can easily know that there is no abnormality of each lamp.

Automotive lamps self-diagnosis apparatus of the present invention as described above to detect the abnormality of all lamps only by operating the diagnostic switch without the diagnosis of the lamps by the operation of the conventional individual switches to prevent traffic accidents due to the lamps in advance. It is useful.
