Abstract
The present invention relates to a channel coding method of a direct spread code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) mobile communication system. When the channel rate is fixed, if the channel coding is performed at the same coding rate for all speech information bits and the code bits need to be deleted to transmit the power control bits, the channel coding is performed at the same coding rate for the important speech information bits. The segment signal-to-noise ratio of the speech signal increases. Therefore, a channel coding method is performed according to the bit importance of the voice information bits to maximize the segment signal-to-noise ratio of the voice signal, and a non-uniform channel coding method capable of inserting and transmitting the power control bits without deleting the code bit during information transmission. A channel coding method is proposed in a direct spread code division multiple access mobile communication system.
Description
The present invention relates to a channel coding method in a direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) mobile communication system, and in particular, to a DS-CDMA mobile communication using an uneven channel coding method. A channel coding method in a system.
In the wireless mobile communication channel, a large number of channel errors occur due to channel conditions such as fading. In order to implement a receiver resistant to such channel errors, there are a method of using a channel encoder and a method of adding a rake coupling and equalization function to improve the performance of the demodulator itself. To ensure maximum subscriber capacity in the DS-CDMA reverse link, all mobile station signals arriving at the base station receiver must have the same power. However, since the mobile stations in the base station are randomly distributed in the base station, closed loop power control is required to equalize the power of the mobile station signals arriving at the base station receiver. Accordingly, in the closed loop power control performed in the DS-CDMA system, the base station receiver measures the signal energy of each mobile station, and in order to maintain the call quality of each mobile station, a command of 2 kbps to raise or issue the transmission signal of each mobile station is maintained. It should transmit to each mobile at speed.
In the conventional DS-CDMA mobile communication system, the speech information bits are convolutionally coded at the same coding rate, and then, in order to transmit the power control bits, the code bits corresponding to the positions to which the power control bits are transmitted are deleted and the power control bits are deleted. I'm using the insert method. In this case, since the transmission is performed without taking into account the degradation of the segment signal-to-noise ratio (hereinafter referred to as SNR) of the speech signal with respect to the channel error, if the channel rate is fixed, the channel has the same coding rate for all speech information bits. When encoding causes a channel error, there is a problem that the degradation of the segment SNR of the audio signal becomes large.
Accordingly, the present invention provides a method of forward wireless link in a DS-CDMA mobile communication system capable of minimizing the degradation of segment SNR of a speech signal by variably channel coding and transmitting the channel SNR in consideration of the degradation of the segment SNR for an error of each speech information bit. The purpose is to provide a structure.

1 is a structural diagram of a conventional DS-CDMA forward link. In the conventional DS-CDMA system, the voice information bits of one voice frame are channel-coded and transmitted at the same code rate. In this case, channel coding is not performed efficiently because channel coding is performed regardless of the bit importance of speech information bits.
The
For this purpose, the code bit is deleted every predetermined period, that is, every 0.5 ms, for the code bits corresponding to 2 kbps at the code bit rate 16 kbps. This method ignores the importance of speech information bits for channel errors and realizes channel coding at the same coding rate for all speech information bits corresponding to one frame. There is a problem that becomes large.
2 is a structural diagram of a DS-CDMA forward link according to the present invention, in which the CSA-CELP coder is used as the
In addition, three types of punctured
3 is a structural diagram of a speech frame for performing non-uniform channel coding. The base station measures the influence of the channel error, that is, the bit error sensitivity, on the received voice information bits and performs non-uniform channel coding according to the bit error sensitivity. To this end, the voice information bits N are classified into three types according to the degree to which the segment SNR deteriorates. In other words, the group of information bits that exhibit the greatest degradation of the segment SNR is N 3 , the group of speech information bits that exhibit the degradation of the segment SNR next to N 2 , and the group of speech information bits that exhibit the least degradation of the segment SNR. Classify as 1 In this case, M is the first value of the punctured convolutional encoder register with the constraint length K, and is set to eight zeros for trace back for signal decoding. In this case, it is only necessary to insert the power control bit at the position to transmit the power control bit without having to delete the sign bit by performing the uneven channel coding in consideration of the power control bit to be transmitted for one frame.
In this way, convolutional encoding is performed at a coding rate having a low bit error rate (P 3 ) for bits with a very severe degradation of segment SNR for channel errors in voice information bits of one frame, and degradation of segment SNR for channel errors. By performing convolutional coding on small bits at a coding rate having a high bit error rate P 1 , the segment SNR may be improved in the received speech signal than when convolutional coding is performed at the same coding rate. Also, the code rates R of the punctured convolutional encoders used in the present invention are three types, such as 4/8, 4/7, and 4/6, respectively. The period of)) is four. The erasure matrix used for such punctured convolutional encoder is shown in Table 1 below.
As described above, deterioration of the segment SNR of the speech signal may be minimized by performing the transmission of non-uniform channel coding in consideration of the degradation of the segment SNR with respect to the error of each speech information bit.
As described above, according to the present invention, in the DS-CDMA mobile communication system serving voice and video signals, the bit rate sensitivity is measured for each voice information bit, and the channel rate is increased by performing non-uniform channel coding according to the bit error sensitivity. Even when fixed, there is an excellent effect of maximizing the segment SNR by simply inserting and transmitting the code bits corresponding to the positions to which the power control bits are to be transmitted.
