Abstract
The present invention discloses an improved deflection yoke fixing wedge of a cathode ray tube. Conventionally, since one side of the wedge in contact with the deflection yoke is formed in a flat plane, there is a problem that the quality and reliability of the cathode ray tube cannot be guaranteed, such as the deflection yoke is tilted or rotated by an impact from the outside. In the present invention, a plurality of friction protrusions are provided on one surface of the wedge contacting the deflection yoke so that the frictional force due to the contact with the deflection yoke is increased so that the deflection yoke can be firmly and stably supported.

The present invention relates to the manufacture of cathode ray tubes, and more particularly to wedges used to secure deflection yokes to funnels.
A cathode ray tube is an image display device which displays an image by sequentially scanning the electron beam emitted from an electron gun horizontally and vertically and scanning each part of the screen. To this end, a deflection yoke having horizontal and vertical deflection coils is installed at the rear side of the funnel of the cathode ray tube. In addition, a Purity convergence Magnet (PCM) that adjusts the position and size of the screen formed by this deflection is installed at the rear side of the deflection yoke. In the manufacturing process of the cathode ray tube, the process of installing the deflection yoke and the PCM in the cathode ray tube is generally referred to as an Intergrated Tube Component (ITC) process.
The fixation of the deflection yoke to the funnel in this ITC process is an important factor in determining the reliability of the finished cathode ray tube, which must be managed with great precision.
Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 1, when the ITC adjustment by the PCM (M) is completed, it is common to fix the plurality of wedges (1) having a rubber material formed between the deflection yoke (Y) and the funnel (F).
2 shows such a conventional deflection yoke fixing wedge 1. It is located between the deflection yoke (Y) and the funnel (F) to support the deflection yoke (Y) elastically, and extends from the rear end of the support (2) to form a double-sided tape (not shown) or the like. It consists of the fixing | fixed part 3 fixed to the funnel F by this. One side of the support portion 2 is formed with the inclined surface (2a) in contact with the deflection yoke (Y), the other side is formed with a plurality of inlet grooves (2b) for increasing the friction force with the funnel (F).
However, since the conventional wedge fixing wedge 1 is formed in a flat plane in which the inclined surface 2a of the support portion 2 in contact with the deflection yoke Y is small, the contact friction force with the deflection yoke Y is small. There is a high possibility that the deflection yoke (Y) will slip and be tilted or rotated with respect to the funnel (F) by an impact or the like. Accordingly, there is a problem that the quality and reliability of the finished cathode ray tube cannot be guaranteed, such as deterioration in image quality.
An object of the present invention is to provide a deflection yoke fixing wedge that can firmly and stably support the deflection yoke with respect to the funnel in view of such a conventional problem.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is a deflection yoke fixing wedge having a support portion inserted between the deflection yoke and the funnel, and a fixing portion extending therefrom and attached to the funnel, wherein the deflection yoke is provided on one side of the support portion. It is characterized in that the configuration is provided with a plurality of friction protrusions in contact.
The friction protrusion of the present invention may be of a stripe type or an embossing type formed at random in a predetermined direction.
Accordingly, the present invention, the frictional force due to the contact with the deflection yoke is significantly increased compared to the conventional can be firmly and stably supporting the deflection yoke has a great effect on improving the quality and reliability of the cathode ray tube.
Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In FIGS. 3 and 4, the deflection yoke fixing wedge 11 according to the present invention has a conventional configuration, and includes a support part 12 fitted between the deflection yoke Y and the funnel F; It is provided with the fixed part 13 extended from the rear end of this support part 12, and attached to the funnel F. As shown in FIG. An inclined surface 12a is formed at one side of the support part 12 to facilitate contact with the deflection yoke Y, and a plurality of inlet grooves 12b are formed at the other side such that frictional force with the funnel F is increased. A plurality of friction protrusions 14 are formed on the inclined surface 12A of the support part 12 so that the contact frictional force with the deflection yoke Y is increased according to the feature of the present invention. The friction protrusion 14 is formed in a stripe shape in which the frictional force with the deflection yoke Y is larger, so that the friction protrusion 14 is arranged at an appropriate interval in a predetermined direction as shown in the drawing.
The deflection yoke fixing wedge 11 according to the present invention configured as described above has a plurality of friction protrusions 14 formed on the support part 12 so as to elastically support the deflection yoke Y, so that the frictional force due to contact is higher than in the related art. This is greatly increased. Therefore, the slippage of the deflection yoke Y is prevented as much as possible by the impact from the outside, so that the deflection yoke Y can be supported very firmly and stably with respect to the funnel F.
Although the friction protrusion 14 of the present invention has been described as being formed in a stripe shape, this is only for the purpose of illustration, and the present invention is not limited thereto. That is, the friction protrusion 14 for increasing the adhesion friction with the deflection yoke (Y) can be changed in various forms, for example, may be configured as shown in FIG. This is a configuration in which a plurality of friction protrusions 14 'are formed on the inclined surface 12a' of the support 12 'in a proper interval or in a random embossed form. This embodiment can also firmly and stably support the deflection yoke (Y) for the same reason as the above-described embodiment.
As described above, according to the present invention, the deflection yoke can be firmly and stably supported with respect to the funnel, and the present invention has a great effect on improving the quality and reliability of the cathode ray tube.
