The present invention relates to a connector for electrical connection used to electrically connect electric wires, circuits, electronic devices, and the like. In particular, the present invention prevents contact failure of a connector connection part caused by flux to be soldered and installed on a board. It relates to a connector for electrical connection.
Conventional electrical connectors (hereinafter referred to as connectors) are intended for one-touch plug-in use. As shown in FIG. 1, an insulator 2 constituting the body of the connector 100 and the insulator 2 are provided. The socket contacts 1 are alternately assembled therein, as shown in FIG. 2, so as to be fixed to the terminal holes 4 arranged alternately to improve solderability of the substrate 3.
FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the flexible printed circuit (FPC) shown in FIG. 7 or the FFC (Flexible Flat Cable) shown in FIG. 8 coupled to the connector 100, for example. The terminal of the socket contact 1 is shown in FIG. When soldering after attaching the connector 100 to the board 3 while the lower end of the insulator 2 with (1a) is opened, the flux contained in the lead is directed along the terminal 1a in the direction of the arrow. As a result, the phenomenon of contact failure occurs due to penetration into the socket contact 1 and the portion contacting the FPC or FFC.
As a result, the current flow is not disturbed and the electrical connection rate is poor, and the connection failure can cause electrical and electronic devices to malfunction.
The present invention has been made to solve the problems of the prior art as described above, it is an object of the present invention to provide a connector for electrical connection that can ensure a reliable reliability of the electrical connection by eliminating contact failure.
Specific means of the present invention for realizing the above object, in the connector for electrical connection in which the socket contact is assembled with a zigzag material in the insulator, the socket contact is assembled to close the lower portion of the terminal insertion hole in the insulator, Characterized by the installation.
Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention based on the accompanying drawings.
As shown in Figs. 9 and 10, a plurality of terminal insertion holes 27 are formed in the insulator 2 forming the body of the connector 100 so that the socket contact 1 is fitted. As shown in FIG. 4, the terminal insertion hole 27 is provided with a step 23 for partitioning the upper inner surface 22 and the lower inner surface 24, and the upper portion of the upper inner surface 22 slips upon connection. It has the guide inclination part 21 which acts as a guide.
On the other hand, the socket contact 1 fitted into the terminal insertion hole 27 has one end extended to a wedge portion 1b fitted into the lower inner surface 24 of the terminal insertion hole 27 to position the step 23. It is bent at about 90 degrees at 1c is fitted to the upper inner surface 22.
As shown in FIG. 9, a chamfered direction display portion 2a is formed at one edge of the upper side of both sides of the insulator 2 so as to accurately grasp the direction upon engagement.
The present invention constructed as described above has a lower inner surface 24 of the terminal insertion hole 27 even though the molten flux is raised along the terminal 1a when soldering after mounting the substrate 3 as shown in FIG. ) Is blocked by the bent portion 1c of the socket contact 1, which is blocking the rise thereof.
Therefore, in FIG. 5, the FPC which is a flexible substrate to which the circuit having the connector coupling portion 51 is wired as shown in FIG. 7 or the FFC having the connector coupling portion 51 at one side as shown in FIG. As such, the molten flux does not penetrate into the contact portion 16 in contact with the socket contact 1, and thus, a complete connection is possible, thereby preventing the flow of current.
On the other hand, FIG. 6 shows that since the position of the connector 100 must be changed according to the direction of the FPC or FFC when the electronic device is mounted inside, the terminal 1a is bent at 90 ° to the board 3 so that the direction is rotated 90 °. It shows installation status.
The connector for electrical connection of the present invention configured as described above can guarantee the reliability of the connection because the contact portion of the socket contact is not affected by any poor contact due to soldering when fixedly mounted on the board. It also has the advantage of reducing the production cost.
