A method implemented by a non-access point (non-AP) multilink device (MLD), comprising:
discovering said AP MLD based on a message received from an access point (AP) MLD, said message comprising a beacon or a response to a request sent from said non-AP MLD, said message comprising association identifiers associated with multiple links of multi-link operation to said non-AP MLD;
and communicating with the AP MLD using the multilink behavior based on the association identifier.

A non-AP MLD configured to communicate with the AP MLD via the receiver using the multilink behavior based on the association identifier.
