Claims (20)

A compressed chewing gum composition for oral administration of cannabinoids comprising:
i) the first particle population comprises a water-insoluble gum base comprising one or more polyvinyl acetate elastomer plasticizers, the gum base polymer comprising less than 5% by weight of a vinyl laurate-vinyl acetate copolymer;
ii) the second population of particles comprises a water-soluble chewing gum ingredient and the second population of particles does not comprise a water-insoluble gum base;
a water-insoluble gum base comprising a plurality of water-soluble chewing gum ingredients located in particles and a gum base polymer ;
A compressed chewing gum composition comprising one or more cannabinoids in an amount of 0.1-200 mg . 2. A compressed chewing gum composition according to claim 1, wherein the one or more polyvinyl acetate elastomer plasticizers are present in an amount of 8-50% by weight of the water-insoluble gum base. A compressed chewing gum composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the one or more polyvinyl acetate elastomer plasticizers are present in an amount of 15-35% by weight of the water-insoluble gum base. 4. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein at least 10% by weight of the cannabinoid(s) is present in unbound form. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of claims 1 to 4 , wherein the first particle population is present in an amount of 15-95% by weight of the compressed chewing gum composition. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of claims 1 to 5 , wherein the second population of particles is present in an amount of 40-80% by weight of the compressed chewing gum composition. 7. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of claims 1 to 6 , wherein the water-insoluble gum base content of the first particle population is greater than 30% by weight of the first particle population. 8. The compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of claims 1 to 7 , wherein the content of water-soluble chewing gum ingredients in the second particle population is greater than 90% by mass of the second particle population. 9. The composition of claims 1-8 , wherein the water-insoluble gum base is partially located within the first layer of the chewing gum composition and the water-soluble chewing gum component is partially located within the second layer of the chewing gum composition. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of the preceding claims. 10. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the content of water-insoluble gum base in the first layer is greater than 30% by weight of the first layer. 11. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the first layer consists of two layers in close contact with and adjacent to the second layer. The gum base comprises one or more natural resins in an amount of 10-40% by weight of the gum base, one or more elastomers in an amount of 3-30% by weight of the gum base, and 8-50% by weight of the gum base. 12. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any preceding claim, comprising an amount of one or more polyvinyl acetate elastomer plasticizers. A compressed chewing gum composition according to any one of claims 1 to 12 , wherein the amount of gum base in the chewing gum composition is from 15 to 60% by weight of the compressed chewing gum composition. 14.
