a hollow tubular segment located between said rod and said mouthpiece segment, said hollow tubular segment longitudinally aligned with said rod and said mouthpiece segment and defining a cavity extending to an upstream end of said mouthpiece segment; a hollow tubular segment defining;
A ventilation zone located along the hollow tubular segment, comprising one or more rows of perforations formed through the outer peripheral wall of the hollow tubular segment less than about 18 millimeters from the upstream end of the hollow tubular segment. a ventilation zone;
the ventilation zone is at least less than 45 millimeters from the upstream end of the aerosol-generating article;
the outer peripheral wall of the hollow tubular segment has a thickness of less than about 1.5 millimeters;
