a first road barrier module having a double-ended first module body and upper and lower first module connector brackets extending from each end of said first module body;
a second road barrier module having a double-ended second module body and upper and lower second module connector brackets extending from each end of said second module body;
a spring biased hinge pusher member slidably connected to the first module body and extending toward the second module body;
disposed between said first module body and said second module body within said aligned openings of said upper and lower first and second module body connector brackets and said upper and lower first and second module body connector brackets; and a pivot pin extending through the module connector bracket, the road barrier device comprising:
said upper and lower first module connector brackets are spaced apart from each other by a vertical distance and define aligned first module bracket openings;
said upper and lower second module connector brackets defining spaced apart and aligned second module bracket openings;
The first module body and the second module body are positioned with opposite ends thereof spaced from each other and the upper first module with the first module bracket opening and the second module bracket opening aligned. and a second module connector bracket in overlapping relationship, said lower first and second module connector brackets in overlapping relationship;
the pivot pin having a circumferentially extending groove;
said pivot pin includes a pivot pin top above a top upper module connector bracket;
The spring-biased hinge pusher member limits upward movement of the pivot pin due to a ratcheting effect caused by relative movement between the first and second road barrier modules and removes the pivot pin from the overlapping upper and lower connector brackets. A road barrier device disposed within said circumferentially extending groove to prevent disengagement of a pivot pin.
