Description
The present application relates to a printer.
Some printers print on a single sheet of paper, and some print on a long continuous sheet. Some printers that perform printing on continuous paper include a swing mechanism for properly stacking continuous paper after printing and a mechanism for pressing a crease (see, for example, Patent Documents 1-3).
Continuous sheets are stacked in a state of being folded at the crease. On the other hand, continuous paper is fed in a state where the crease is extended during printing. Therefore, a stacker in which continuous sheets of paper that have been printed are stacked may be equipped with a mechanism that pushes and folds the folds that are stretched during printing from the top in order to reduce the thickness of the continuous sheets that are stacked on the stacker. However, since a certain amount of time is required from the time when the folds of the continuous paper are fed into the stacker to the time when they land on the continuous paper in the stacker, the time for pressing the folds from the top decreases as the printing speed increases. When the time for pressing the crease decreases, the thickness of the continuous paper stacked on the stacker increases.
Therefore, the present application discloses a printer that can sufficiently press the folds of continuous paper that has been printed and fed into the stacker.
The printer disclosed in the present application includes a stacker in which printed continuous sheets are stacked, a swing mechanism that feeds continuous sheets to the stacker while swinging the feeding direction of the continuous sheets in accordance with the folds, and a fold of continuous sheets stacked in the stacker. A guide that pushes from above, and a drive mechanism that starts an operation of pushing the fold to the guide at a timing when the fold of the continuous sheet immediately after being fed from the swing mechanism enters the movable range of the guide.
If it is said printer, it will be possible to fully push the fold of the continuous paper sent out in a stacker after printing.
Hereinafter, embodiments will be described. The embodiment described below is merely an example, and the technical scope of the present disclosure is not limited to the following aspect.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating an inkjet printer according to an embodiment. The ink jet printer 1 according to this embodiment includes an
The
The paper feed mechanism 3 includes a plurality of transport rollers that form a transport path for the
A
The
The paper feeding mechanism 3 is a mechanism for feeding the
FIG. 2 shows the
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the operation contents of the
When the
The
FIG. 4 is a first diagram illustrating the movement of the
FIG. 6 is a third view showing the movement of the
FIG. 7 is a fourth diagram showing the movement of the
The
FIG. 8 is a fifth diagram showing the movement of the
FIG. 9 is a sixth diagram illustrating the movement of the
The series of operations of the
FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating a difference in time for pressing a fold of continuous paper. 10 corresponds to the inkjet printer 1 of the above embodiment. For example, (J1) in FIG. 10 is FIG. 4 and (J2) in FIG. J3) is a reduced version of FIG. 6, FIG. 10 (J4) is FIG. 7, FIG. 10 (J5) is FIG. 8, and FIG. 10 (J6) is a reduced version of FIG. The column shown in “Comparative example” in FIG. 10 is a diagram showing the movement of the guide that pushes the fold for a moment.
As represented by (H1 to H5) in FIG. 10, in the comparative example, processing corresponding to step S102 and step S103 performed in the inkjet printer 1 of the above embodiment is omitted. As represented by (H6) in FIG. 10, in the comparative example, the guide presses the fold of the continuous paper only for a moment, and the state where the guide holds the fold of the continuous paper is not maintained. Therefore, in the comparative example, continuous sheets whose creases are not sufficiently pressed are stacked on the stacker. In the embodiment, the process of suppressing the bulge of the continuous sheet 6 (process of hitting the bulge of the continuous sheet 6) is performed before pressing the crease of the continuous sheet, whereas such a process is not performed in the comparative example. When the fold is immediately pressed without undergoing the process of suppressing the bulge of the
On the other hand, in the inkjet printer 1 of the above embodiment, the time during which the crease of the
In addition, although the said embodiment was the inkjet printer 1, the printer disclosed by this application is not limited to an inkjet printer. The printer disclosed in the present application only needs to be able to print on continuous paper, and may be a printer other than the ink jet method.
