Description
The present invention relates to a power supply structure for a fuel supply device, and more particularly to a power supply structure for a fuel supply device for supplying power to a fuel pump of a fuel supply device that supplies fuel to an internal combustion engine.
Conventionally, a fuel supply device having a fuel pump for supplying the fuel in the fuel tank to the internal combustion engine has been used in many cases, and this fuel pump is driven while being immersed in the fuel in the fuel tank. is there. Such a fuel pump is provided with a power supply terminal. By connecting a connection terminal of the connector to this power supply terminal, the fuel pump is connected to an external power source and supplies power to the fuel pump.
However, such a conventional power supply structure has a problem that the fuel stored in the fuel tank acts as an electrolyte, a weak current flows between the terminals, and the terminals are corroded. ing.
。 In order to prevent such corrosion of the terminal portion, conventionally, an insulating sealing material is provided on the bottom surface of the fuel pump connector insertion port, and a partition that separates the positive and negative connection terminals is provided on the connector. A technique is disclosed in which when the connector is connected, the tip of the partition wall of the connector is pressed against the sealing material to liquid-seal the inside of the connector (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
However, in the invention described in Patent Document 1, since the fuel inside the fuel pump is at a high pressure when the fuel pump is in operation, the connector is connected from the gap between the fuel pump housing and the power supply terminal. There is a problem that the fuel leaks inside, the fuel accumulates between the housing and the seal member, and current flows between the terminals at this portion, which may cause corrosion of the terminals.
In addition, the elasticity of the seal member causes a problem that the connector is pressed in the direction of disengagement, and the connecting portion of the connector may be loosened or detached.
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and can reliably prevent the occurrence of corrosion of the terminal portion without using a sealing material, and can prevent the connection terminal from coming off. An object of the present invention is to provide a power feeding structure for the apparatus.
In order to achieve the above object, a power supply structure for a fuel supply apparatus according to the first aspect of the present invention is disposed inside a fuel tank in which fuel is stored via a pump holding member, and is connected to an internal combustion engine in the fuel tank. In a power supply structure of a fuel supply device for supplying power to an electric fuel pump that pumps fuel,
A coupler provided with at least one power feeding portion of the fuel pump or the pump holding member and having a pair of power feeding terminals implanted;
A partition provided inside the coupler and separating each power supply terminal;
A connection terminal connected to the power supply terminal;
A cap member that is attached to at least the outer peripheral portion of the conductive portion of the connection terminal and is liquid-sealed by being attached to the coupler;
A terminal holder for fixing the cap member to the coupler in a state of being sandwiched by the coupler;
It is characterized by having.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the terminal holder is detachably attached to the coupler via an engagement mechanism.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect, a protrusion is provided on one of the cap member and the terminal holder or the coupler, and the other is engaged with the protrusion. A recess is provided.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in any one of the first to third aspects, between the coupler and the terminal holder, the coupler and the coupler can be discharged so that the fuel flowing into the coupler can be discharged. A portion where the cap member is not sandwiched between the terminal holder and the terminal holder is provided.
According to the present invention, the partition is provided inside the coupler, and the cap member for liquid-sealing the inside and outside of the coupler is fixed to the coupler by the terminal holder in a state of being sandwiched between the coupler and connected to the power supply terminal. Each terminal part is electrically separated with the terminal connected, and the outer peripheral part of the connection terminal is liquid-sealed by the cap member, so even if fuel enters the coupler, It is possible to reliably prevent the weak current from flowing due to the moisture contained in the staying fuel inside and the feed terminal and the connection terminal from being corroded.
Also, since the terminal holder is detachably attached to the coupler via the engagement mechanism, the terminal holder can be easily detached from the coupler, and the fuel pump must be replaced when replacing the fuel pump. It can be done easily.
In addition, a protrusion is provided on one of the cap member and the terminal holder or the coupler, and a recess is provided on the other to engage the protrusion, and the coupler is engaged with the protrusion and the recess. Since the terminal holder is mounted, it is possible to reliably prevent the cap member from falling off.
Also, between the coupler and the terminal holder, a portion where the cap member is not sandwiched is provided between the coupler and the terminal holder so that the fuel flowing into the coupler can be discharged. Even if fuel enters, this fuel will be discharged to the outside through the part where the cap member between the coupler and the terminal holder is not sandwiched, and as a result, the same fuel will remain inside the coupler for a long time. The power supply terminal and the connection terminal can be prevented from being corroded by moisture contained in the staying fuel without staying.

When the
At this time, since the pressure of the
The bracket-
Further, the
Further, by engaging the engaging
As described above, in the present embodiment, the bracket-
Further, by engaging the engaging
Further, since the bracket-
In addition, since the distance between the
