そして、上記手の内部ｃは、人の手指と竹刀等との間にあって競技中や練習中に常時大きな摩擦を受けて擦り切れ易く、また、籠手頭布団部ａと手の内部ｃとの縫着部分には手の内部ｃを握って分厚い籠手頭布団部ａをその握りに追従させるために比較的強い引っ張り力が作用し、また、竹刀等を握った際に手の内部ｃに多数の皺ができて握りづらく、この握り難さから派生して竹刀等の操作もしずらくなり、しかも、激しい競技や稽古による汗が染み込み、籠手全体の中で最も消耗し、また、破損し易く、しかも、腐食や悪臭の発生原因になり易く、張替え等の比較的費用と手間のかかる修理を要する部分になっている。
そこで、このような問題を解決するものとして、籠手筒の先端に籠手頭の緩衝材のみを回転及び折曲げ自在に連結し、籠手頭の緩衝材に別体に形成した籠手頭カバーを着脱自在に被着させ、籠手頭カバーの後端側に籠手筒の一部を覆う延長部を形成してなる剣道用籠手が提案されている（実公昭５６−３６，５３１号公報参照）。
しかしながら、この剣道用籠手においては、籠手頭カバーを籠手頭の緩衝材に固定する手段がないので、使用時に籠手頭カバー内で緩衝材がずれて手指が竹刀等で打たれる虞がある。
また、手の内側に位置する手の内部材と手の甲側に位置する籠手布団部材にはそれぞれその周縁部にスライドファスナの各エレメントを取り付け、このスライドファスナにより籠手布団部材の内側に手の内部材を着脱可能に取り付けた剣道用籠手（実開平２−１１６，４８１号及び実開平３−８０，７６７号の各公報参照）や、上記の手の内部材を手袋状に形成した剣道用籠手（実公平７−６，９２６号及び実開平７−３３，３８０号の各公報参照）が提案されている。
しかしながら、これらの剣道用籠手においては、籠手布団部材と手の内部材とがその周縁部でのみ取り付けられているので、競技や稽古中に相手との激しい衝突や竹刀等による打突等の衝撃によってスライドファスナ等の取着手段が破損して籠手布団部材と手の内部材との間が分離したり、あるいは、竹刀等を握るために分厚い籠手頭布団部を引き付けた際に指先が硬いスライドファスナ等の取着手段に強く接し、その上から竹刀等によって打突されて怪我をする虞がある等、必ずしも安全であるとはいえない。As shown in FIGS. 46 to 48, a kendo gage generally has a gloved head duvet part a having a thumb protection part d and a four-finger protection part e at its tip to protect the part beyond the wrist. そこで、本発明者は、最も消耗・破損し易く、また、腐食や悪臭の発生原因になり易くて修理の負担となっている手の内部を着脱可能にし、これによって修理費を軽減できると共に洗浄により腐食や悪臭の発生を防止でき、しかも、手の内部が誤って分離することがなく手指を完全に保護できる剣道用籠手について鋭意検討した結果、籠手布団部材に手の内部材を着脱可能に取り付けた剣道用籠手において、上記手の内部材側に籠手布団部材の籠手頭布団部の親指保護部及び／又は四指保護部の少なくとも先端部に係止し、使用時に上記籠手布団部材と手の内部材との間が分離するのを防止する分離防止手段を設けることにより、上記の課題を解決できることを見出し、本発明を完成した。
また、本発明者は、上記の検討を進める中で、手の内部材の手平部に所定の縮寸加工を施すことにより、竹刀等を握った際に手平部に皺ができるのを防止することができ、これによって極めて竹刀等を握り易くなることを見い出し、本発明を完成した。
更に、本発明者は、上記の検討を進める中で、手袋状に形成した手の内部材の四指挿入部の先端を籠手頭布団部の四指保護部の先端より内側に設定することにより、使用時に指先が四指保護部の先端より内側に位置し、指先の怪我をより確実に未然に防止できることを見い出し、本発明を完成した。
更にまた、本発明者は、上記の検討を進める中で、手袋状に形成した手の内部材の手甲部に籠手筒布団部の内側にまで延びる延長前腕部を形成することにより、競技又は稽古中に前腕からの汗を吸収できると共にこの籠手筒布団部の衝撃緩和効果をより一層高めることができることを見い出し、本発明を完成した。
そして、本発明者は、上記の検討を進める中で、取着手段としてスライドファスナを用いた場合、籠手布団部材と手の内部材との間に上記スライドファスナの始端及び／又は終端を保護するファスナ保護帯を設けることにより、単に打突等による衝撃からこのスライドファスナの最も損傷し易い始端及び／又は終端を保護できるだけでなく、使用中に誤ってスライダーが移動する等の問題も解決でき、使用者の保護にもなることを見い出し、本発明を完成した。
従って、本発明の目的は、最も消耗・破損し易く、また、腐食や悪臭の発生原因になり易くて修理の負担となっている手の内部を着脱可能にし、これによって修理費を軽減できると共に洗浄により腐食や悪臭の発生を防止できるだけでなく、競技中や稽古中に相手との激しい衝突や竹刀等による打突等の衝撃が作用しても、籠手布団部材と手の内部材との間が分離するのを防止して手指を完全に保護することができる安全な剣道用籠手を提供することにある。
また、本発明の他の目的は、籠手布団部材、手の内部材及びこれらの間を着脱可能に取り付ける取着手段とを備えた剣道用籠手において、より安全でより使い勝手の良い剣道用籠手を提供することにある。
すなわち、本発明は、前腕を保護する籠手筒布団部と先端に親指保護部及び四指保護部を有して手首より先の部分を保護する籠手頭布団部とを継ぎ合わせてなる籠手布団部材と、この籠手布団部材の少なくとも籠手頭布団部に着脱可能に取り付けられる手の内部材と、上記籠手布団部材に手の内部材を着脱可能に取り付ける取着手段とを備えた剣道用籠手において、上記手の内部材には、上記籠手頭布団部の親指保護部及び／又は四指保護部の少なくとも先端部に係止し、使用時に上記籠手布団部材と手の内部材との間が分離するのを防止する分離防止手段が設けられていることを特徴とする剣道用籠手である。
また、本発明は、手の内部材の手平部に所定の縮寸加工を施すこと、手袋状に形成した手の内部材の四指挿入部の先端を籠手頭布団部の四指保護部の先端より内側に設定すること、手袋状に形成した手の内部材の手甲部に籠手筒布団部の内側にまで延びる延長前腕部を形成すること、あるいは、取着手段としてスライドファスナを用いた場合、籠手布団部材と手の内部材との間に上記スライドファスナの始端及び／又は終端を保護するファスナ保護帯を設けること、にそれぞれ特徴を有する剣道用籠手である。
本発明において、上記手の内部材は、使用者が竹刀等を握った際に使用者の手の平と竹刀等との間に位置して使用者の手の平を保護したり、あるいは、滑り止めとしての機能を発揮する手平部のみで構成されていてもよく、また、この手の平側に位置する手平部に、手の甲側に位置する手甲部を縫着等の手段で取り付け、これら手平部と手甲部とによって親指が挿入される親指挿入部と親指以外の四指が挿入される四指挿入部とを有する手袋状に形成されていてもよく、吸汗性等の観点から、好ましくは手袋状に形成されているのがよい。そして、この手の内部材の手平部は鹿革やフェルト、人工皮革等の強靭な吸湿性に優れた材質で形成され、また、手の内部材を手袋状に形成する場合、その手甲部は織布、不織布、フェルト等の比較的強靭で柔軟性や吸湿性に優れた材質で形成される。
また、上記手の内部材に設けられる分離防止手段については、その一端が手の内部材に固定され、他端が籠手頭布団部の親指保護部及び／又は四指保護部の少なくとも先端部に着脱可能に係止し、使用時には取着手段により互いに着脱可能に取り付けられた籠手布団部材と手の内部材との間が分離するのを確実に防止できるものであればよく、例えば、親指保護部及び／又は四指保護部の少なくとも先端部を被覆する被覆部に形成されたり、単に帯状や紐状等に形成されたり、また、これらを組み合せて形成されてもよいが、籠手頭布団部の親指保護部及び／又は四指保護部の先端部を保護するという観点からは、好ましくはこれらの先端部を被覆する被覆部に形成されているのがよい。
そして、この手の内部材に設けられる被覆部（分離防止手段）については、それが上記籠手頭布団部の親指保護部及び／又は四指保護部、好ましくは親指保護部及び四指保護部の少なくとも先端部をそれぞれ被覆することができれば、どのように形成されていてもよく、例えば、上記籠手頭布団部の親指保護部や四指保護部の先端部のみが嵌合される比較的小さな袋状に形成されてもよいほか、親指保護部や四指保護部の略全体が嵌合される比較的大きな袋状に形成されてもよく、またこの際に、親指保護部や四指保護部の先端部が嵌合される部分を残して切込みが設けられてもよく、更には、親指保護部や四指保護部の少なくとも先端部において互いに重なり合う複数の取着帯片で構成してこれらの取着帯片を互いに重ね合せ状に籠手布団部材側に固着するように形成されていてもよい。
更に、この手の内部材に設けられた各被覆部とこれら各被覆部内に収容される籠手布団部材の籠手頭布団部の親指保護部や四指保護部の先端部との間に、これらの間を着脱可能に固定する、例えばベルベットファスナ、ホック、ボタン、ファスナー等の止着手段を設けてもよく、これによって親指保護部や四指保護部の先端部を収容した各被覆部の開口端を確実に閉塞させることができ、この開口端から被覆部内に竹刀等の先端が引っ掛かって不慮の事故が発生するような事態を未然に防止することができる。
更にまた、上記手の内部材の少なくともその四指が位置する四指部分の先端（手の内部材が手袋状に形成されている場合にはその四指挿入部の先端）が上記籠手頭布団部の四指保護部の先端より内側に位置するように形成するのがよく、これによって、使用時に籠手内に手指を挿入して竹刀等を握った際に、指先が籠手頭布団部の四指保護部の先端より内側に位置して籠手頭布団の四指保護部の先端より先に出っ張るのを防止し、指先の怪我を未然に防止できるようになっている。この点は、勿論、親指以外の四指側だけでなく、親指側に対して適用してもよい。
また、手の内部材が手袋状に形成されている場合、好ましくは、手の内部材の親指挿入部及び四指挿入部の各手甲部側と、これら親指挿入部及び四指挿入部を覆う籠手布団部材の籠手頭布団部に設けられた親指保護部及び四指保護部との間に、少なくともこれらの間の一部を着脱可能に固定する、例えばベルベットファスナ、ホック、ボタン、ファスナー等の止着手段を設けてもよく、これによって、手の内部材側の親指挿入部及び四指挿入部と籠手布団部材側の親指保護部及び四指保護部との間をより強固に固着することができ、手の動きに籠手布団部材側の親指保護部及び四指保護部がよく追従して手の内部材と籠手布団部材との一体感が生じる。
また、手の内部材が手袋状である場合、その四指挿入部に、この四指挿入部に挿入される四指の内の任意の指を他の指から分離させて挿入させる隔壁部を設けてもよく、これによって、各指が他の指の干渉を受けずに自由に動くことができ、特に最も力が弱いにも拘わらず確りした握り強さを求められる小指の動きを容易にすることができ、竹刀の握りの強さや操作が容易になる。
更に、手の内部材が手袋状に形成されている場合、その手甲部に、この手甲部と同じ若しくは異なる吸湿性のよい布地等や、これらの布地等とフェルト、スポンジ等の緩衝材との組合せ等で形成され、籠手布団部材の籠手筒布団部の内側の適当な位置まで（例えば、手首部を覆う位置まで、前腕中間部分を覆う位置まで、あるいは、前腕全体を覆う位置まで等）、好ましくは前腕全体を覆う肘側末端にまで延びる延長前腕部を設けるのがよく（なお、以下の説明では、実施例も含めて、特に断らない限り、延長前腕部といえばこの「前腕全体を覆う肘側末端にまで延びる延長前腕部」をいう。）、これによって、競技又は稽古中に前腕からの汗を吸収でき、また、籠手筒布団部における衝撃緩和効果をより一層向上させることができ、更に、籠手装着時の挿入が容易で痛くないほか、手袋状本体部と共に籠手筒布団部から取り外して洗濯することにより容易に清浄化でき、籠手筒布団部を長期に亘って清潔に保つことができる。この延長前腕部については、手甲部と異なる素材で別体に形成して縫着してもよいほか、同じ素材で一体に形成してもよく、また、別体に形成した場合には手甲部と延長前腕部との間をベルベットファスナ等の適当な手段で着脱可能に取り付けてもよい。また、この延長前腕部の大きさや形状についても特に制限されるものではなく、例えば幅方向の大きさについては、籠手筒布団部の幅方向全長に亘って存在するものであっても、また、幅方向一部にのみ存在するものであっても、更に、籠手筒布団部の幅方向を超えて存在し、使用時には前腕部に巻き付けるようにして使用するものであってもよい。更にまた、このように手袋状に形成された手の内部材の手甲部に延長前腕部を設けた際には、好ましくは、籠手筒布団部内側とこの延長前腕部との間を着脱可能な、例えばベルベットファスナ、ホック、ボタン、ファスナー等の止着手段で固着するのがよい。
更に、手の内部材には、その手甲部や延長前腕部に、更には手甲部と延長前腕部との繋ぎ目部分（手首が位置する部分）等に衝撃緩衝性に優れたフェルト、スポンジ等の帯状の打突緩衝材を設けてもよく、また、この際に必要によりこの打突緩衝材を着脱可能に設けてもよく、これによって、例えば剣道の指導者が初心者に指南する際にあえて連続的に籠手を打たせる場合でも、指導者の手首が痛むのを確実に防止することができる。なお、この打突緩衝材を設ける場所については、手甲部、延長前腕部及びこれらの繋ぎ目部分のうちの何れか１箇所に又は２箇所に更には全ての箇所に、それぞれ個別にあるいは連続させて設けてもよいが、剣道の決り手である籠手等により打撃を受け易い場所が特に右手の手首の部分に集中しているので、右手側のみに設けてもよく、更には、鍔迫り合い等で衝撃を受ける右手の四指付け根部分の周辺にのみ設けてもよい。更に、この打突緩衝材については、籠手筒布団部の内側に位置するように、手の内部材の手甲部に取り付けてもよい。
また、本発明においては、上記手の内部材の手の平側に位置する手平部には、好ましくは、少なくとも四指先端側の指先先端部と手首側の掌基端部との間の長さ寸法を縮小する縮寸加工を施すのがよく、これによって、竹刀等を握った際に生じる手平部の皺の発生を可及的に抑制することができ、極めて竹刀等を握り易くなり、更に皺が介在しないことから各指先が自由に動き易くなって素手で握った感触により近くなり、稽古中や試合中に、疲労による握力の低下から竹刀等を握る四指や親指が緩んだり、誤って竹刀等を落とすようなことが少なくなる。この縮寸加工については、好ましくは、四指側だけでなく親指側についても同様に施すのが望ましい。
上記の縮寸加工については、例えば、手の内部材の手平部を構成する前の人工皮革や鹿革等の素材から切り出された掌部材において、少なくともその四指先端側の指先先端部と手首側の掌基端部との間の長さ寸法が縮寸加工前の長さ寸法より短く縮小することができればよく、具体的には、以下に示す切込・接合加工、切欠・接合加工、切離・接合加工、切離・重合加工等の加工方法を例示することができる。
上記の切込・接合加工は、手平部となる掌部材に、その四指部分あるいはこの四指部分及び親指部分に、その略幅方向に延びる必要な長さ及び形状の切込みを必要な数だけ（１箇所又は２箇所以上、好ましくは１〜３箇所）設け、この切込みにより形成された切込み端縁部を互いに重ね合わせて接合する方法である。
また、上記の切欠・接合加工は、上記掌部材の四指部分あるいはこの四指部分及び親指部分に、その略幅方向に延びる必要な長さ及び形状の切欠きを必要な数だけ（１箇所又は２箇所以上、好ましくは１〜３箇所）設け、この切欠きにより形成された切欠き端縁部を互いに重ね合わせて接合する方法である。
更に、上記の切離・接合加工には、上記掌部材の四指部分あるいはこの四指部分及び親指部分に、その略幅方向に延びる必要な数（１箇所又は２箇所以上、好ましくは１〜３箇所）の切離し線を入れて複数の切離し片を形成し、これら各切離し片の切離し端縁部に互いに接合されて縮寸可能な形状（例えば、互いに略同じ大きさの略円弧状、略山形状、略台形状、略矩形状等の形状）に切り欠き、次いでこの切欠きにより新たに形成された縮寸可能な形状の各接合端縁部を互いに重ね合わせて接合する方法や、あるいは、互いに接合される端縁部には互いに接合されて縮寸可能な形状の接合端縁部を有し、かつ、手平部となる掌部材を構成する複数の切離し片を、打抜きや切出し等の単一操作の切離手段で素材から切り出し、次いで各切離し片に形成された縮寸可能な形状の接合端縁部を互いに接合する方法がある。
更にまた、上記の切離・重合加工は、上記掌部材の四指部分あるいはこの四指部分及び親指部分に、その略幅方向に延びる必要な数（１箇所又は２箇所以上、好ましくは１〜３箇所）の切離し線を入れて複数の切離し片を形成し、各切離し片の切離し端縁部をその両端部が狭くて中央部が広くなるように三日月状に重ね合わせて接合する方法である。
