Description

The present invention relates to a circuit breaker that rotates a movable contact when an overcurrent is detected, and extinguishes an arc generated between contacts by an arc extinguishing device.
Background art
Conventional bases for circuit breakers have been widely used because they can achieve the requirements of heat resistance, arc resistance, mechanical strength and the like relatively easily. However, the thermosetting resin requires incineration or landfilling of burrs generated during molding and sprues and runners generated during injection molding, and it is difficult to recycle or reuse burrs, sprues, runners, and the like.
On the other hand, it has been studied to adopt a molded product mainly composed of a thermoplastic resin. For example, a molded product containing a thermoplastic resin composed of
According to the experiments by the inventors, the base described in the above-mentioned Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 08-171847 is used as a circuit breaker having a 225 amp frame and a rated current of 225 A. When applied, an overload cutoff test (test to cut off the current by energizing 6 times the rated current (JIS C8370 and C8371). In this case, 225A × 6 = 1350A energized), the overtravel value between the contacts decreased. However, the contact pressure between the contacts sometimes decreased abnormally. At this time, it was found that the vicinity of the surface of the base fixing the contact fixed to the base side was melted. The main causes of the decrease in the overtravel value, the decrease in the contact pressure between the contacts, and the melting in the vicinity of the base are considered to be arc heat generated due to the interruption. And when the vicinity of the base fixing the fixed contact is melted, not only the contact pressure between the contacts becomes unstable, but by repeatedly opening and closing, the contact portion of the base with the fixed contact is deformed, Furthermore, there is a concern of inducing a decrease in overtravel value.
Here, the overtravel value is the amount by which the movable contact moves to the fixed contact when the fixed contact is removed while the contact is in order to keep the contact pressure constant. The tolerance is set to several times the contact thickness. And, the structure that holds the contact, such as the base, the movable contact, the fixed contact, etc. receives the reaction force to maintain the contact pressure between the contacts, and the structure is deformed due to this reaction force, for example. Creep deformation occurs, and overtravel value decreases over time.
The same was true when the main component was polybutylene terephthalate (abbreviation: PBT, melting point: about 220 ° C.) or polyethylene terephthalate (abbreviation: PET, melting point: about 255 ° C.) as the thermoplastic resin.
Therefore, even when the resin material was changed to polyphenylene sulfide (abbreviation: PPS, melting point: about 290 ° C.) having a higher melting point and the same overcurrent trip test was performed, the same problem occurred.
Disclosure of the invention
The present invention has been made in order to solve such a problem, and is excellent in heat resistance and arc resistance, particularly at a high temperature thermal history that is generated at the time of overcurrent tripping or is repeatedly generated. Even if it receives, it aims at obtaining a circuit breaker with few generation | occurrence | production of a fusion | melting and a heat deformation.
Further, in a circuit breaker that turns a movable contact when an overcurrent is detected and extinguishes an arc generated between other contacts provided at a position facing the contact of the movable contact by an arc extinguishing device. In addition to using a crystalline thermoplastic resin as the main resin and using an insulating molded product that has been subjected to electron beam irradiation after molding, there is little occurrence of melting or thermal deformation even when subjected to a high-temperature heat history, A circuit breaker excellent in arc resistance can be obtained.
Further, the circuit breaker is provided with an opening / closing mechanism having a movable contact and a holding holder for rotatably holding the movable contact, another contact and an arc extinguishing device, and the holding holder is rotatably held. In addition, since the molded product includes the base for holding the other contacts and a cover that covers the base and forms a casing, the molded product is the base, and thus has excellent heat resistance and overtravel characteristics between the contacts.
The base has a bottom portion on which the holding holder, other contacts and the arc extinguishing device are disposed, and a side wall which is provided orthogonal to the bottom portion and forms a boundary with the outside. Since the irradiation of the beam is performed and the electron beam irradiation is not performed on the side wall of the base, the heat resistance due to the arc heat generation at the time of the arc generation and the impact resistance against the increase in the internal pressure of the casing are excellent.
In addition, the base is provided with a holding holder, other contact points, and an arc extinguishing device arranged in an arrangement part provided along the rotating surface of the movable contact, and this arrangement part is irradiated with an electron beam. Therefore, it is excellent in heat resistance and arc resistance, and fine processing is possible, which can contribute to downsizing of the outer diameter and high density of parts.
In addition, since the molded product contains 60 to 200 parts by weight of the reinforcing material with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin component, there is little occurrence of melting and thermal deformation, and arc resistance and strength are excellent.

The crystalline thermoplastic resin is not particularly limited as long as it is crystalline. However, considering that the circuit breaker is continuously used in the market for 10 to 15 years, the heat resistant continuous use temperature is 120 ° C or higher. Certain polyesters and polyamides are preferred. Polyester is preferable in terms of extremely little influence of moisture absorption, and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) are suitable. These alloys may also be used. A resin having no benzene ring, such as polyamide, is preferable, and
The crosslinking accelerator is added in an amount of 0.5 to 2 parts for the purpose of mainly promoting that the non-crystalline part in the crystalline thermoplastic resin is crosslinked by electron beam irradiation. Examples of cross-linking accelerators include polyfunctional monomers such as triallyl isocyanate (abbreviation TAIC), trishydroxyethyl isocyanuric acrylate (abbreviation THEICA), trishydroxyethyl isocyanuric methacrylate (abbreviation THEICM), Trimethylolpropane triacrylate (abbreviation TMPTA) is preferable. These may be added in combination.
Addition of TAIC or THEICA is preferable in that the gel fraction at the same electron beam irradiation amount is high.
The antioxidant is added in an amount of 0.2 to 0.9 part for the purpose of preventing self-crosslinking of the crosslinking accelerator during material kneading. Furthermore, 0.4 to 0.6 part is preferable. As the antioxidant, for example, a hindered phenol-based antioxidant is preferable, and 2,6-di-t-butyl-P-cresol (abbreviation BHT), triethylene glycol-bis [3- (3-t-butyl) is preferable. -5-methyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate], 1,6-hexanediol-bis [3- (3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate], pentaerythrityl tetrakis [3 -(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate], N, N-hexamethylenebis (3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-hydrocinnamamide), 3, 5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl phosphonate-diethyl ester and the like.
These may be added alone or in combination.
The reinforcing material is represented by glass fiber. Glass fiber refers to a fibrous material made of glass, and examples of the glass material include E glass, S glass, D glass, T glass, and silica glass. As is generally known, it is preferable that the glass fiber has a diameter of 6 to 13 μm and an aspect ratio of 10 or more from the viewpoint of improving impact strength.
Examples of the inorganic filler include alumina, calcium carbonate, mica, clay, talc, kaolin, and wollastonite.
Examples of the flame retardant include red phosphorus, phosphoric ester, and halogen, but phosphoric ester and halogen are preferable from the viewpoint of extremely little metal corrosion including the contacts 5A and 10A. In addition, a halogen type is preferable in that it exhibits flame retardancy with a small addition amount as compared with a phosphate ester type. Furthermore, dibromopolystyrene is preferred in that it is difficult to decompose even if the cylinder stays during molding.
As the flame retardant aid, antimony trioxide is preferable in that the synergistic effect with the halogen type is increased.
Next, the electron beam irradiation to the base will be described.
FIG. 6 is a schematic diagram of electron beam irradiation to the base shown in FIG. 5, and FIG. 7 is a diagram showing the positional relationship between the base and the electron beam shielding jig at the time of electron beam irradiation in FIG.
