Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the whole circuit and to reduce the size and price of the display and printing controller by obtaining a synchronizing signal necessary for the control of a CRT by the use of the characteristics of a laser printer without using an independent electric circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A CRT control means C4 outputs a horizontal synchronizing signal for a laser printer which is inputted from a horizontal synchronizing signal input means C1, i.e., a signal for synchronizing laser light horizontally scanned by the rotation of a polygon mirror, and a vertical synchronizing signal outputted from a vertical synchronizing signal generating means at the time of counting up the prescribed number of horizontal synchronizing signals to a CRT instread of a synchronizing signal necessary for the control of the CRT. Thereby the control of the laser printer and the CRT can be attained only by using a simple and inexpensive waveform conversion circuit. Consequently the price of the whole device can be reduced and a circuit part can also be made compact.
