Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent increase of a device in size and power consumption by obtaining image information from light reflected from an object to which infrared rays are projected, displaying said information by a display means, and recognizing an image of the object.
CONSTITUTION: The titled device is provided with infrared ray projecting means 2 and 3 projecting infrared rays toward an object for display, an image pickup element 7 converting reflected light obtained by reflecting infrared rays on the object into a video signal, and the display means 4 displaying the image of the object based on the video signal from the image pickup element 7. In order to photograph at night when actual eyes cannot see anything, infrared rays are projected toward the object, and the LCD display part 4 displays information of the object, which is formed with infrared rays, thereby framing is feasible. Thus increase of the device (camera) in size and power consumption can be prevented in comparison with a camera equipped with its dedicated lighting lamp.
