晶表示素子の各表示部に対して一つずつ配置され
ていて所定の赤外光を発する赤外発光素子と、上
記表示パネルの下部で各赤外発光素子に対して一
つずつ配置されていて対となる赤外発光素子から
照射された赤外光が上記表示パネルの上部物体に
より反射されたとき、この反射光を受光して電気
信号に変換する赤外受光素子と、各受光素子から
の電気信号により制御される被制御機器とを含ん
でおり、上記表示パネルを構成する液晶表示素子
の裏面に配設された反射板又は透反板が、その液
晶表示素子の各表示部に対向する領域で上記赤外
光が通過すべき部分に孔を備えていることを特徴
