Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a polyimide film improved in heat resistance and electrical insulation property after heat deterioration without changing its molecular skeleton, containing a specified organotitanium compound. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant polyimide film having a retentivity of a dielectric breakdown voltage >=75% after heat deterioration, containing 5-500ppm (in terms of the titanium element based on the film weight) of a substance selected from organotitanium compounds, for example, a compound of formula I (wherein m=0-4, X is a group of formula II, III or IV, R1 is a 3-13C hydrocarbon residue, R2 and R3 are each a 3-18C hydrocarbon residue, R4 is a 3-13C hydrocarbon residue or a group of formula V, and R5 is a 2-13C hydrocarbon residue) and a substance having a structural formula VI (wherein n=0-6, R6 is a 3-18C hydrocarbon group, and R7 is a 3-13C hydrocarbon residue), e.g., isopropyltris(dioctyl pyrophosphate)titanate.
