PURPOSE:To eliminate the deformation of an article to be packed and the slackening of a packing material, by using a polypropylene heat-shrinkable film whose heat-shrinkage force at specific temp. is a specific value or less to form the packing material having a surface area specific times that of the article to be packed or less and shrinking the packing material under a heating condition bringing a heat-shrinkage ratio to a specific value or more. CONSTITUTION:A polypropylene heat-shrinkable film whose heat-shrinkage ratio is 30g or less in longitudinal and lateral directions at temp. generating a heat-shrinkage ratio of 35% or more in both of the longitudinal and lateral directions is used to pack an article to be packed in a size having a surface area 1.6 times that of the article to be packed or less. Next, in shrinking the film under heating, a heating condition is set so that the heat-shrinkage ratio of the used film becomes 35% or more in both of the longitudinal and lateral directions. By shrinking the film under this condition, the article to be packed is not deformed and there is no slackening in the packing material after heat- shrinkage and the part not closely brought into contact with the article to be packed becomes smaller. In a heat-shrinkage method, a heat-shrinkage tunnel is used.
