Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain variable speed reproduction under a similar control to a CAV disk by a CLV disk by applying an interruption pulse for generating a kick position to a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:An FG is used from a spindle motor part 4, this FG is frequency divided by a counter 5 to form the pulse generated for every 1/2. A counter 3 generates a kick position pulse so as not to produce noise on a screen when being kicked. The position pulse and a pulse obtained by dividing a frequency to 1/2 are switched in a switch part 6 according to the discrimination of the CAV/CLV. Then, the position pulse is applied to the microcomputer 7 to generate the kick pulse or apply a memory writing control signal at the timing of the signal. Therefore, the variable speed reproduction similar to the CAV disk can be executed by the CLV disk.
