Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at preventing the drive of a vehicle in an excessively high gravitational center loading condition by detecting a roll about the longitudinal axis of the vehicle so as to compute a roll resonant frequency, and by comparing thus computed frequency with a set allowable value so that if the vehicle has a higher gravitational center such that thus computed frequency is less than the set allowable value, an alarm at the driver's seat or the like is energized. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle such as a truck 1 or the like is provided with a sensor 2 for detecting a roll about the longitudinal axis of the vehicle body thereof, a frequency analyzing circuit 3 constituting a roll resonant frequency computing means and a microcomputer 4 constituting a judging circuit, and an alarm 5 is mounted at the driver's seat or the like. When the vehicle has a high gravitational center due to a certain cargo loading condition, the roll resonant frequency becomes lower so that thus obtained roll resonant frequency is compared with a roll resonant frequency upon high gravitational center loading at a maximum allowable limit, and if it is below the latter frequency, it is judged that the vehicle is in a high gravitational center loading condition and the alarm 5 is energized. Thereby it is possible to aim at preventing the drive of the vehicle in an excessively high gravitational center loading condition.
