Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily copy an original being larger than a copy size by providing an original placing table having a wider area than an original scanning and exposing area, so that this table can be moved in the document scanning and exposing direction and the direction intersecting orthogonally with said direction. CONSTITUTION:Contact glass 2 is provided on the original scanning and exposing area 3 of a copying machine body 1, and a document placing table 4 is provided so as to be opposed to the upper face of this glass 2. In this regard, the glass 2 has an area on which the original of an A3 size can be placed, and the table 4 has an area on which the original of an A1 size can be placed. An original placing table supporting means 6 for supporting this table 4 is provided with a supporting rod 10 stretched to the lower part. In this state, when the supporting rod 10 moves along a rail part 13 of a supporting base 11, the table 4 can move in the original scanning and exposing direction and the direction being vertical to said direction, on the surface containing the exposing area 3. Accordingly, by moving the table 4 successively in the original scanning and exposing direction and the direction being vertical to said direction, the whole original can be segmented and copied.
