Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an optimum thigh support device by providing, on the reverse surface of the cushion material of a seat portion, a cam surface rotor with a lateral rotary shaft for changing a raised state, and performing the detection, selection, judgement and continuous timing of a maximum seat pressure by means of seat pressure sensors so as to drive the cam surface rotor. CONSTITUTION:In the center of the reverse surface of the cushion material of a seat portion 1, there is provided a cam surface rotor 3 which is driven by means of a motor 4 with a lateral rotary shaft and changes the raised state of the seat portion. Seat pressure sensors 2-2c are arranged on four points of the obverse surface of the seat portion, and then, the maximum seat pressure is selected out of the respective right and left sensors so as to be compared with a set value, and thereat, when respective selection and judgement states are kept invariable for a predetermined time as well as beyond the range of the set values a signal for driving the motor 4 is outputted so as to rotate the cam surface rotor 3. Therefore, an optimum thigh support can be obtained without any response to a temporary fluctuation in the seat pressure caused by such as the movement of a driver's body, the acceleration/deceleration of a vehicle or the like.
