Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide extremely sanitary bedding capable of sterilizing bacteria or fungi and suppressing the breeding by applying and impregnating a bacteriostatic agent to cotton wool which is inner cotton and executing sanitary work. CONSTITUTION: For this bedding to which the sanitary work is executed, an acrylic ester copolymer resin aqueous emulsion containing one or both of an antibacterial agent and a mildewproof agent which is the bacteriostatic agent is applied and impregnated to the cotton wool which is the inner cotton and the breeding of the bacteria and the fungi is durably suppressed. Trichosan can be listed as the antibacterial agent and thiabendazole can be listed as the mildewproof agent. The acrylic ester copolymer resin aqueous emulsion is mixed in the bacteriostatic agent so as to uniformly and strongly bind the bacteriostatic agent onto the cotton wool. The air permeability, bulkiness and flexibility, etc., of the processed cotton wool are not damaged, and in the case of manufacturing a quilt or a pad using the processed cotton wool as the inner cotton, the blow-off of the cotton wool from a side cloth, cotton smooth knit cloth for instance, is completely suppressed.
