Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve reliability of a laser device power supply by providing a rectifying circuit for detecting an ac input voltage in a low-voltage rectifying circuit, and a current relay which is connected by a Zener diode and a photocoupler for detecting the output voltage thereof. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage at an ac power supply 1 is below a predetermined value, voltages at both terminals of capacitor 16 are likewise below a predetermined value, whereby a luminescent element of a photocoupler 17 is not conducting due to the presence of a Zener element 15, and a current relay 18 is inoperative, while an input voltage is input to a voltage doubling rectifying circuit consisting of diodes 3, 4 and capacitors 7, 8. When a voltage of the power supply 1 exceeds the predetermined value, the voltage of the capacitor 16 likewise exceeds the predetermined value. This causes the current relay 18 to be energized by a resistance 14 and the photocoupler 17, a contact ab to be closed, and an input of the power supply 1 to be rectified in the rectifying circuit consisting of diodes 3-6 and capacitors 7, 8. According to the constitution, a rectified output below a predetermined value can always be obtained in a switching circuit 9, whereby the switching circuit 9, a transformer 10, and the rectifying circuit 11 are free from being damaged.
