Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent water drops from a large quantity of dew which does not dry for a short period of time from inflowing into a deflecting coil and a CRT socket by fitting sponge pieces in the form of a ring on the neck of CRT and the deflecting coil mounting part of the CRT. CONSTITUTION:Sponge pieces 5, 5' coiled in the form of ring are fitted on the deflecting coil 2 mounting part of a CRT 1, wherein the CRT 1 mounting direction is such that the face plate is up and the neck 3 is down, and on the socket 4 mounting part of the neck 3 of the CRT 1. A large quantity of water drops which drip down from around the CRT 1 and do not dry for a short period of time are all absorbed by the ring-shaped sponge pieces 5, 5', even in case abrupt change in the climate condition has caused dewing. This prevents influx of the dew water into the CRT socket and deflecting coil.
