Abstract
PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of efficiency in the whole unit of a system by locking a low speed side hydraulic pump/motor while separating a high speed side hydraulic pump/motor from a mechanical transmission system in the final stage of a high speed mode. CONSTITUTION:In a high speed mode, transmitting one part of power through high speed side mechanical transmission systems (a), (b), the rest of power is transmitted by actuating a low speed side pump/motor 7 serving as the pump and a high speed side pump/motor 8 serving as the motor. Here approaching a predetermined high speed operation stage, when the high speed side pump/ motor 8 is placed in a condition that it is almost unable to generate output torque to the outside, a lock mechanism 32 is switched to a lock position, locking the low speed side pump/motor 7 while releasing a clutch mechanism 33, and the high speed side pump/motor 8 separates its input/output shaft from the high speed side mechanical transmission system (b). Thus outputting all the input power through the high speed side mechanical transmission system, the hydraulic pump/motor improves even its durability while enhancing transmission efficiency.
