Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture an Al alloy rolled plate for a container having excellent directionality and solid lubricating characteristics by subjecting an Al alloy ingot consisting of specific compsn. of Fe, Cu, Mg, Mn, Si and Al to the specific heat treatment and cold rolling after rolling. CONSTITUTION:The Al alloy contg., by weight, 0.25-0.80% Fe, 0.10-1.0% Cu, 0.6-2.0% Mg and 0.6-1.3% Mn, in which Si in the impurities is restricted to <0.15% and the balance consisting of other impurities and Al is cast at 30-100mm/min casting ratio. The obtd. ingot is heated fro >=10hr at 600-630 deg.C and >=90% MnFeAl6 phase in crystallization and >=60% area ratio in the range of non-deposit zone are regulated. Said ingot is hot rolled and, if required, it furthermore cold rolled. The rolled plate is thereafter heated to 500-620 deg.C at >=0.5 deg.C/sec heating ratio, is instantly or after retained for <=120sec, subjected to rapid cooling and is furthermore cold rolled at >=20% rolling ratio. By this method, the titled Al alloy rolled plate having 4+ or -1mum average grain size of crystallization in the view from the surface of the plate and having excellent various characteristics can be obtd.
