Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate defocusing due to a difference in variable magnification moving direction, specially, one-sided defocusing by making the movement/ stopping direction of a mirror for correction invariably constant. CONSTITUTION:A movable mirror 25 has two moving directions. The movable mirror 25 moves by having driving force given by a stepping motor M2 on a lengthwise E side through a cam 74 and levers 73 and 74, so the movement is delayed slightly on the opposite F side because of mechanical backlash and resistance force. Consequently, the mirror surface slants as compared with a correct position (shown by dotted line) to cause one-sided defocusing. The mirror slants in two directions. For the purpose, the stopping direction of the movable mirror 25 is made constant to make the inclination of the movable mirror constant. Consequently, the trouble is eliminated.
