Abstract

PURPOSE:To reasonably move the teeth to be corrected by applying the optimum pressure thereto in a planar state, by integrally forming a holding part for supporting the upper teeth and the lower teeth so as to provide a fine gap therebetween and a correction part for elastically pressing the teeth to be corrected in a correcting direction from a thermoplastic elastomer. CONSTITUTION:Holding action is performed by the teeth 4 other than the teeth 5 to be corrected. An interval (d) of about 2-3mm is provided between the upper and lower teeth 4 by a holding part 7. A gap 10 having a width of about 1mm is formed to the lingual surface of the teeth 5 to be corrected in a lingual direction by shaving off the holding part 7. A correction part 8 is formed from the same material as the holding part 7, that is, an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer and integrally connected to the holding part 10 at both ends thereof at the parts of teeth 4 of a dental formula No.2 or No.3 and composed of the band like part stretched on the labial side of the teeth 5. This correction part 8 elastically presses the labial side of the teeth 5 to be corrected to the lingual side as shown by an arrow (b) at the intermediate part thereof in a planar state and provided to the holding part 7 to be moved so as to introduce the teeth 5 to be corrected into the gap 10.
