Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reception line quality and the economy of a communication equipment by constituting a time frame of a talking channel by at least >=1set of packets, selecting the transmission speed selectively among plural speeds prepared in advance, and setting the speed via a common communication channel, thereby applying simultaneous 2-way communication with plural communication sets. CONSTITUTION:A time frame of a communication channel consists at least >=1set of packets. User communication equipments A-H request a call request, the transmission speed of the talking channel and the packet length via a common signal channel to a line controller LCU. The controller LCU, based on a request from the user communication equipment, sets a carrier frequency used for the talking channel, the transmission speed per carrier frequency, the packet length and the packet location to the user communication equipment via the common signal channel to set the communication channel. Thus, the simultaneous 2-way communication with plural communication parties and the communication by various transmission speeds are realized easily by an economical user communication equipment.
