Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent loss of powdery paint by using heat resistant and electrical insulating material as the hanger of a conveyor and providing an earth touch system which is brought into contact with the rear of a work and conducted to the earth while the work is coated with a powder coater. CONSTITUTION:An electrically-conductive work 5 which is hung to a conveyor 1 via hangers 3, 4 for the work consisting of heat resistant and electrical insulat ing material (e.g. epoxy resin) is applied with powdery paint by an electrostatic powder coater 6. An earth touch device 9 provided oppositely to the powder coater 6 is brought into contact with the rear of the work 5 and conducted to the earth while the work 5 is passed before the powder coater 6. As a result, loss of powdery paint is prevented and also the need for peeling operation of powdery paint stuck on the hangers is eliminated.
