Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a formation of an appropriate atomizing pattern of a spray liquid by making the amounts of ejecting air from an atomizing air nozzle and a pattern controlling air nozzle of a spray gun controlled independently. CONSTITUTION:A spray gun 17, which atomizes and ejects a spray liquid, is equipped with a spray liquid nozzle 20, an atomizing air nozzle 23 opened annularly around the nozzle 20 and a pair of pattern controlling nozzles 26 arranged at symmetric positions to the nozzle 23. An atomizing air is supplied to the nozzle 23 by way of an atomizing air supply piping 31, and a pattern controlling air is supplied to the nozzle 26 by way of a pattern controlling air supply piping 31. Further, air flow rate control instruments 35, 36, 39 are installed for the purpose of keeping the air flows in these two piping 30, 31 at their respective set values by measuring their respective flow rates. As a result of these arrangements, it becomes possible to form an appropriate atomizing pattern of a spray liquid.
