Abstract

PURPOSE:To enjoy good clutch engaged feeling of a motorcycle by forming a clutch contact zone where a clutch is controlled between a variable-diameter V-pulley and an endless V-belt in such a manner as to be easier to slide than a speed change contact zone. CONSTITUTION:A drive side variable-diameter pulley P1 is provided on a driving shaft 1, and a driven side variable-diameter pulley P2 is provided on a driven shaft 2. Among all frictional contact areas between the variable-diameter pulleys P1, P2 and an endless V-belt 2, a clutch contact zone where a clutch is controlled between the variable-diameter V-pulleys P1, P2 and the endless V-belt 3 is formed in such a manner as to be easier to slide than a speed change contact zone where speed change is controlled among them. Thus, a clutch-engaged feeling of a motorcycle can be made very good.
