Abstract

PURPOSE:To promptly restrain vibration of a shaft by supporting an inertia body at the center portion of rotation in a hollow space of a shaft mounting case and interposing a gel substance in the hollow space of the shaft mounting case. CONSTITUTION:A shaft mounting case 1 has a large-diameter hollow cylindrical damper portion 2 and a small-diameter cylindrical shaft mounting portion 3 which are formed integral therewith. Countersinking-like cavities 24 are formed in the center of a portion functioning as the bottom of a bottomed case 21 and in the center of a cover 22, respectively. Conical apex angles 41 of an inertia body 4 are engaged with the cavities 24. A gel substance 5 is interposed in a hollow space 23 of the shaft mounting case 1. In this arrangement, oscillatory wave generated in a shaft 7 can be absorbed by deformation of the gel substance 5, resulting from the interacting motion of the shaft mounting case 1 and the inertia body 4.
