Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the diameter of a leading end hard part fine, by providing a forceps port on an intermediate side from an objective optical system to move the leading end hard part parallelly only when a forceps is used and opening the front of the forceps part to allow the forceps to extend in a visual field direction. CONSTITUTION:When a forceps 13 is used, a rigid body 19 is bent by drawing a wire 13 to the right and a roll 15B on the side of the leading end part parallelly moves with respect to the longitudinal direction of the endoscope. Since rolls 15A, 15B are connected by steel wires 17A, 17B each two on a single side, the steel wires 17A, 17B achieve the function of a link to be moved in parallel. Therefore, the front of a forceps port 11 is opened and the forceps 13 forwardly extends to the left from the forceps port 11 to be used in the body cavity. Since the forceps port 11 is provided on the intermediate side of an objective optical system in a leading end hard part and the leading end hard part is parallelly moved in the longitudinal direction of an endoscope only when the forceps 13 is used, the diameter of the leading end hard part on the leading end side can be made fine.
